  • Led the backend migration of a legacy JSP-based deal workflow system to Spring Boot (Java 17) microservices. Breaking it apart into independently deployable services reduced manual processing by 40% and made it much easier for teams to ship changes without stepping on each other.
  • Implemented Kafka-based event-driven communication to replace fragile direct API calls between services. Cross-service failures dropped by 30% — it was one of those changes that quietly made everything else more stable.
  • Built React (TypeScript) and GraphQL interfaces used by operational teams daily. Restructuring how data was fetched on the client side cut redundant requests noticeably and made the UI feel more responsive for the people using it most.
  • Spent time profiling slow PostgreSQL and Oracle queries — added indexes where they were missing and rewrote a few hot paths. Small targeted changes, but API response times improved by 25% on endpoints that got hit constantly.
